Autumn’s Embrace: Utah Lake at Dusk
Golden groves caste a warm light along the shores.
Utah Lake is lined by willow and cottonwood groves. In the fall, the leaves slowly change from green to gold, matching the yellowed grasses that surround them. Deer gather and graze in the groves.
If you visited the lake in the early morning or late evening, flocks of birds will swarm the trees. The marmots grow quiet as they settle in for sleep. Flocks of geese and ducks can be found out in the water and sleeping in the fields.
Summer Warmth Continues to Linger

Snow Dusts the Mountain Peaks
Fall is fleeting. Snow gathers on the mountain peaks, cutting fall short in the groves at the peaks. But at the lake, fall lingers. It's one of the best times of the year to for incredible sunsets. The clouds often gather on the mountain peaks, catching the colors of the sunset.
